Jess Colmer is a lifelong lover of food & cookery and has been messing about in the kitchen ever since she can remember. Frustrated by the decline of cooking in schools, in 2011 she decided to leave a career in television to set up The Cooking Club, with the aim of providing young people in Suffolk with the opportunity to learn about cookery and healthy eating in their free time. Since then The Cooking Club has gone from strength to strength, helping to give children a solid grounding in cookery, discover a passion for food and find the fun and satisfaction in creating a great meal.
After many requests over the years, The Cooking Club has recently branched out into classes for adults in the form of hen parties, corporate teambuilding events and private lessons and parties. We offer a relaxed, informal and more affordable option for adults wanting to improve their culinary skills. We only use free-range meat and eggs, all sauce and marinades are made from scratch and we always do our best to incorporate as much seasonal fruit and veg as possible. It’s not about fancy cordon bleu cooking, just nutritious, delicious food.
