Welcome to the Cooking Club

Affordable kids cooking clubs with Jess Colmer

Jess Colmer is a lifelong lover of food and cookery and has been messing about in the kitchen ever since she can remember. Frustrated by the decline of cookery in schools, in 2011 she left a career in television to set up The Cooking Club, with the aim of providing young people with an affordable opportunity to learn about cookery and healthy eating in their free time.

Through a network of after-school clubs, workshops and weekend activities, The Cooking Club aims to give children a solid grounding in cookery, allowing them to develop their knowledge and set of skills, discover a passion for food and find the fun and satisfaction in creating a great meal. We only use free-range meat and eggs, all sauces and marinades are made from scratch and we always do our best to incorporate as much seasonal fruit and veg as possible. It’s not about fancy cooking, just nutritious, delicious food! Just take a look at what we cook.

Testimonials

Jess provided a wonderful party for my son's 7th birthday. Two weeks on and his friends and parents are still talking about it!  Engaging a group of 7 year olds for two and half hours is no mean feat! Wonderful!
